My husband and I both come from big families. I have three sisters and he has two sisters and a brother. Since starting a family of our own and living near to a number of our siblings and their families, you can imagine how big our family get togethers are! We spent seven days in the largest region of the island – Heraklion. Nestled between two mountain ranges, it offered our family lots of things to do during the day. Archaeological attractions, pretty villages, olive groves, horse riding, museums and not forgetting its beaches! We packed a lot into each day, but made sure we visited the beach once a day – whether in the morning or late afternoon. Greece holidays are all about enjoying the country’s amazing attractions, but also relaxing in its hot climate. It’s important to return from holiday feeling relaxed and recharged.
