From Brooks:
I am tired of the general media. Take the Virginia Tech massacre for instance. Within 3 hours of this tragedy the national media (NBC, ABC, CBS) began to question the VT administration because they should have known or should have done more. Can we please sit back and try to recover from this tragedy before the media tries to make a news story out of it? Can we just take this for what it is and begin the process of getting our lives back together? Let me let you in on a little secret. No they (VT) couldn’t have done more. This guy is crazy, plain and simple. Thank god he is dead and doesn’t get the opportunity to reproduce. For those of you who haven’t been to VT, it is a campus up in the mountains of Virginia and consists 25,000 students. I would say that this is not a school but a city and you cannot shut down a city because some crazy person shoots some people. Think about shutting down Indianapolis for a day because a bad crack deal went down. We would never get anything done! Then they have the audacity to show his “Manifest” on the Nightly News! Are you kidding me? Now we are going to immortalize this guy? What was the point of showing that? What does that solve? Is someone in the TV audience going to all of the sudden come up with a solution to all of this? I don’t think so. This was done for ratings and to further de-sensitize us. I am willing to bet that some other crazy person saw the news that night and is now deciding to do the same because he was inspired by this guy. WAY TO GO NBC! Way to further the erosion of our culture. Way to indirectly kill another couple of people. Imus isn’t allowed to say what he wants on his shock radio show, but you can show the last message of a mass murderer? I bet that newscast did more to ruin the lives of innocent people than Imus saying that the Rutgers women basketball team is ugly. Way to go!

can somebody please get over the fact that just because im 27th in my class does not mean that i am smart! i mean seriously! i was getting help on some papers today because i seriously did not know how to do it and then some dip ass of a girl comes up to me ands like “you should be able to know how to do this stuff. your 27th in your class.” and i was like what the hell..i really dont know how to do it. gah it makes me so mad..and its just a number. who cares. number 1 needs help sometimes too. has anyone else ever had this problem?
Angry Ken says: 27th overall in your class huh? That’s quite an accomplishment (unless your class only has 30 people in it). My guess is the ranking didn’t consider English class. I kid of course. Maybe they got tired of helping everyone and right after number 28 they just said the hell with it. My advice is to get help from 26, 25, and so on until one of them is not a dip ass. But if you get all the way to numero uno without any luck, then I guess you’re screwed. Wikipedia is also a great resource.

My name a Borat (reader submission)

Thanks to “SCG” for the entry:
With the high prices for seeing a movie anymore, I rarely endorse a movie that I see. Well…I saw ‘Borat’ last night and still can’t stop laughing.
Anyone who hasn’t seen it already needs to rush out to the nearest theater immediately.
Rarely does a movie make me laugh out loud but this movie had me in tears. And there are a few scenes that will haunt me for years.
If you happen to be black, christian, or Jewish, a sense of humor and open mind are necessary to enjoy this movie. It’s all in fun and damn fun it is!
Angry Ken says: I still haven’t seen it, but I can’t wait. Any movie that can offend so many people of diverse backgrounds is right up my alley.

You want to know what has been pissing me off lately? LOUD lesbians.
The people in question bowl on the TSABA league on Thursdays that I am in. It’s like they all have a megaphone surgically implanted in their vocal chords! They make a strike, they start doing the Vonage commercial themes. It drives me insane. WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU SING THE VONAGE “WOO-HOO-HOO” THEME WHEN YOU MAKE A STRIKE?
And what makes it even worse, you can hear it all the way down the fuckin’ alley.
And the only male on the team doesn’t help at all. He reminds me of Hank Hill’s dad from King of the Hill. He’s short. He’s annoying. He’s rude. Now I want to go kill the person who wrote the Vonage commercial theme.
Angry Ken says: The Vonage song is actually performed by The 5, 6, 7, 8’s and was first featured in “Kill Bill: Volume 1.” Click here for the song’s lyrics
And if there is a real life version of Cotton Hill out there, I’d sure like to meet him and listen to his stories of how he killed “fitty” men.

My friend’s mom fucking sucks. I’m asked to plan a bachelorette party. Got it set in stone and the (bitch) cancels the appointment I made and attempts to make the party her way. Fuck the bitch. Sometimes I just want to punch her lights out! Mothers just need to learn how to shut their fucking mouth and mind their own goddamn business! If they all shut their pie holes for one minute I think the world would actually experience some fucking peace!
Angry Ken says: It really sucks when one slutty party idea is undercut by someone else’s slutty party idea. If only the oppposing slutty plans could be combined into one slutty bash. Now that would be a good old slutty time.

Thanks to Alfred for the submission:
Just taking the opportunity to add to the Circiut City issues. I also was a paying customer that ended up wishing the business would go away. A few years back I took in a Ford Expedition I used to own. I paid them 500 dollars cash to get an alarm with a remote start, two way pager, you know, the works. I also purchased some sub-woofers on a credit card. Like every service business, the never failing first frustration is their inability to give correct completion times. I went back to the shop about an hour after their stated completion time and of course the vehicle was not ready. I called them back about an hour before they closed shop to have time to get my truck, thats when the “service manager” informed me that my truck was at the dealer getting rewired because they burnt out my electrical system. I found out that their lack to hire and or train qualified technicians cost them over 2 thousand dollars and an upset customer without a vehicle for 3 days. Because I believe to be a reasonable man, I understand that their isn’t perfection, so errors have to happen. Thats why there are compensations and clearly Circuit City will not hold up their end to fix their mistakes. Reasonably it should have been a natural response to put me in a provisonary vehicle and maybe a discount on my product for the hassle. I spoke to the store manager who was very defensive and jumpy. I then called the 800 number they ask to call to if you are unsatisfied, where I was being attended to by Bob Smith (yeah right)! I explained this lengthy story to him, then I was taken around in circles and explanations to where finally after about another hour of my time I figured that I wasnt gonna get anywhere with my claim of horrible customer service. So does Circuit City suck? Yes, you have my vote. -Alfred- El Paso TX
Angry Ken says: I thought my situations were inconvenient. Not having your car for several days is a huge hassle. They should’ve at least given you the alarm for free.
Also, I have yet to hear back from Circuit City, other than their generic email saying that someone from the local store would contact me. Right!

F hipsters and trendy losers in Hoboken (reader submission)

Take off your stupid trucker hats first of all. Do you have to copy everything you see on MTV? Also, the only time you should be wearing a wrist band is if you are engaged in a sporting event that causes you to sweat…so stop with the one wrist band bullshit pronto. And for christ sake, sandals are for the beach, retard. Stop wearing them out to bars and outdoor cafes. If I wanted to see your feet I’d f***ing ask. It’s so repulsive how you losers simply copy everyone else around you. Have some individuality man.
*Angry Ken says: …I had to edit this heavily for punctuation.

Thanks to “Catahdin” for the submission.
Iraq….does anyone on this side of the world really care? …Com’on……how does any of this complicate or influence your daily routines? …be honest…it doesn’t. I’m sorry to say that as of late, I just tune the news out on anything involving Iraq. It’s mind numbing…I and others stated as long ago as three years, that this ‘toilet hole’ would collapse into a civil war. When are the ‘monkeys’ in Washington going to wake up and realize these barbarians are just that………….enough already!
Angry Ken says - Like I keep saying, we need to just blow everything up over there and take all the oil. Gas prices are ridiculous.

Shenanigans down at the old School Yard

Thanks to Brooks for his comments regarding UC:
There are some less than ethical things happening at UC right now. First is the suspension of Jihad (Muhammed) and James (White). According to NCAA rules the suspensions do not take effect until the start of the next quarter or semester. UC’s quarter did not start until today. The question now is why did the University do this? Well the answer is Mick Cronin. Mick was going to be offered the job at Ole Miss that day. Mike Thomas (AD) must have decieded to get this season over so they could hire who they wanted, therefore handing down an early suspension to our two key players. (Side note: they still almost beat South Carolina. That would have really been funny then!). Mick Cronin will be a great coach for UC and will being us back to the limelight in 2-3 years. He is a great recruiter and a great coach. We will be fine.
Second non-ethical thing on Friday, as Nancy Zimpher was interviewing at Northwestern to become the next President there. Her two year contract is up at the end of this year. Her lawyer cited that she has burned too many bridges here in Cincinnati. That previous comment makes sense because of the following: UC is in financial trouble. The endowment maybe the largest it ever has been, but donations are way, way, way down from where they should be. The new residental housing erected on Calhoun St., Stratford Heights, and across from the Medical college is at 20% occupencey. This low rate does not generate enough revenue for the monies allocated to cover the construction and now have all been dried up. The general fee has to pay for this construction. That is not good because UC must spend money allocated to run the University to pay for previous construction. This has led to a hiring problem. Nancy’s UC21 plan says to increase the level of education through hiring more renowned faculty. UC has tried this but is usually $15,000 to $20,000 too low on its offers to new faculty. This can only be attributed to a lack of funds.
It is my belief that someone within the Board of Directors wanted some dirty work taken care of so they hired someone who’d do that and then leave. If you stop and think about it, that makes perfect sense. Why would you hire someone to run a Division 1 35,000 student university with a minority population of 22% where it is the largest employer in the city and second largest employer in the state, whoes only experience is with a 5,000 student Division 3 university in the middle of Wisconsin? She has no experience with a university of this magnitude.
The University of Cincinnati is the largest employer in the city and the second largest employer in the state (next to the Ohio State University). With the firing of Bob Huggins, many of UC’s problems that he helped control have come to light. Bob brought in a great deal of money for the University through donations and media contracts. Many people in this city were educated here, their children where educated here, P&G (the second largest employer in Cincinnati) gets most of its employees from here, General Electric gets most if its engineers from UC, the list goes on and on. The effects are much farther reaching than just a basketball coach. It is the livelyhood of families that could be touched.

Blowing Smoke

Thanks (I think) to Craig for this submission. But first, a note from Angry Ken: After reading this letter, I got confused. So I read it again. I was even more confused. Finally I did a little research to find out what the hell it was about. After realizing what the letter is responding to, I had to laugh. Read the letter first, then try to figure out what Craig is so angry about. You might have to google this one. I did.
Message: To you fascist bastards in Casabalas California,
You should be ashamed of yourselves. You have forgotten the faces of your fathers. How in this day and age people such as yourselves could have turned such a blind eye from your american roots is beyond me. Margo Arnold is obviously a product of your communist (ie progressive, left-wing, centrist) education system. Beyond your whorish Hollywood society, I do not see how anyone can come up with such an idea as to tell anyone that they cannot live their lives the way they see fit. Just because you do not approve, you have no right to tell someone else what they can, or cannot do.
I so want to mention a religious argument concerning how only God has judgement and man only should abide by love and compassion. But of course I will be ridiculed as a religous fanatic. I assure you I am not. I just am appalled at your flaunt of power.
I grew up believing in the American Dream. You have just taken that dream and dashed it into a million pieces. What would our fore-fathers think? What would the writers of the constitution think of your obvious Nazi like stranglehold on the freedoms of the citizens of your horrible little hamlet.
Wow, what is next? Will you start arresting people for not being polite? You have take the ideas of 1984 and brought them into frution. You are the city that in 20 years will be in the history books for begining the socialist downfall of America. I hope you are proud of yourselves.
Not everyone believes that you are the protectors of the people. You are NOT the ones we need to save us. Your arrogance will be rewarded with ridicule and poverty. NO ONE will move to your slice of Communist Russia. You deserve everything you get and I hope you smother in your own self loathing!
This is a letter wanting a more free and open America, free from people who are not afraid to be offended. Grow up and be an adult. TO Margo Arnold I say this, You have done a terrible thing. I hope you live to see the error of your horrid mistake. I hope you see what damage you have done to the greatest country ever to have grace the face of the Earth!

Did you figure it out? Now take a look at this.
All that about a smoking ban. These are the kinds of crazy bastards I’m talking about. Are you that upset that someone wants to be able to eat lunch without breathing in cigarette smoke? Go light up down the block. Now let’s hear what you think.
