Thanks to Alfred for the submission:
Just taking the opportunity to add to the Circiut City issues. I also was a paying customer that ended up wishing the business would go away. A few years back I took in a Ford Expedition I used to own. I paid them 500 dollars cash to get an alarm with a remote start, two way pager, you know, the works. I also purchased some sub-woofers on a credit card. Like every service business, the never failing first frustration is their inability to give correct completion times. I went back to the shop about an hour after their stated completion time and of course the vehicle was not ready. I called them back about an hour before they closed shop to have time to get my truck, thats when the “service manager” informed me that my truck was at the dealer getting rewired because they burnt out my electrical system. I found out that their lack to hire and or train qualified technicians cost them over 2 thousand dollars and an upset customer without a vehicle for 3 days. Because I believe to be a reasonable man, I understand that their isn’t perfection, so errors have to happen. Thats why there are compensations and clearly Circuit City will not hold up their end to fix their mistakes. Reasonably it should have been a natural response to put me in a provisonary vehicle and maybe a discount on my product for the hassle. I spoke to the store manager who was very defensive and jumpy. I then called the 800 number they ask to call to if you are unsatisfied, where I was being attended to by Bob Smith (yeah right)! I explained this lengthy story to him, then I was taken around in circles and explanations to where finally after about another hour of my time I figured that I wasnt gonna get anywhere with my claim of horrible customer service. So does Circuit City suck? Yes, you have my vote. -Alfred- El Paso TX
Angry Ken says: I thought my situations were inconvenient. Not having your car for several days is a huge hassle. They should’ve at least given you the alarm for free.
Also, I have yet to hear back from Circuit City, other than their generic email saying that someone from the local store would contact me. Right!

Let me guess…did you call them dicks too in your email?
August 9th, 2006 at 10:46 am
Ken seems to like dicks lately…
August 9th, 2006 at 11:26 am
I’m a big fan of Dicks. Dick Cheney, Dick Clark, Dick Ebersol… those are some great Dicks.
August 9th, 2006 at 11:51 am
Dick Cheney? im disappointed Ken
August 9th, 2006 at 11:57 am
I’m a republican. What can I say?
August 9th, 2006 at 12:29 pm
Oh Boy!
August 9th, 2006 at 4:54 pm
George Bush and Dick Cheney are the worst president and vice-president we could have. I am a democrat, but in the last election I felt people had to try decide for themselves who the lesser of the two evils was.
August 9th, 2006 at 7:15 pm
lol.
I have an uncle named Bob Smith.
August 10th, 2006 at 9:02 am
Ha, My Boss’ name is John Smith
August 10th, 2006 at 12:32 pm
A Smith. Agent Smith.

Let’s just say nemesis and George Bush have something in common.
As for Circuit City, I have never had any problems with them. Although I have only been there like once or twice.
August 11th, 2006 at 7:58 am
Smarty: There’s no reason to trash the current Pres and VP. I, too, was disappointed in the candidates of the past 2 elections but until we can get these goons out of office, we’re stuck with them.
I must say with the current foils of the terrorist attacks that the administration must be doing something right. It is the only thing they’re doing right but if it makes the civilians in the U.S. safe, then I’ll take it.
Christ, shoot me now. I cannot believe I had a good thing to say about Georgie and Dickie. Ugh! But I must give credit where credit is due…
August 11th, 2006 at 12:54 pm
I can’t believe it either! But what in the world does this have to do with Circuit City?
August 11th, 2006 at 2:00 pm
I know, but I wish Bush and Cheney were not the pres and vice pres. I’m sorry, but that is just the way I feel. I’m looking not only at the stupid gas prices, but at another major threat. They are actually doing a good thing by getting Iraq to be more of a democracy. Iraq people will benefit from that in the future.
The other major threat is stupid Kim Jong Il. He is launching all these stupid missiles off. He could hit the west coast if he wanted to. Granted we would take him out if I did, but many people would already be dead. I hope once we are out of the Middle East that we will try and do something about Kim Jong Il. Not until then though because we will be spread too thin.
As for my comment about Bush and nemesis having in common, that was just a way of showing that nemesis is dumb. I don’t really believe Kerry is that smart either. He is an idiot too.
I don’t believe Circuit City to be all that bad. As I said before though, I have only been there once or twice.
August 11th, 2006 at 2:09 pm
There is one thing I don’t get. Somebody please tell me the answer to this question. If democratic people who wanted Kerry to be pres can admit he is an idiot, why can’t republican people who wanted Bush to be president admit he is an idiot? Some of these people think act like he is one of our best presidents ever.
August 11th, 2006 at 3:50 pm
You really are swallowing this whole “Bush is an idiot” routine the national media are shoveling, aren’t you?
I’ve met brilliant people who can’t write (or spell) a coherent sentence - but it doesn’t make them dumb.
I think the same thing proves true with public speaking.
Reporters, both print and television, can make ANYBODY look like an idiot when they take enough footage.
I’m not saying I’m completely happy with Bush, ’cause I’m not.
I’m no fan of Slick Willy, but he DID get rid of the national debt…and then Dubya walks in and drives it back UP again… grrrrr..
And don’t even get me started about oil prices.
But this “idiot” line just doesn’t hold water. The man made it into an Ivy League school. Yea, the family’s oil fortune helped, but still. He did manage to not fail out.
Bush is a lot smarter than the media portrays.
But he IS just another rich politician who is completely out of touch with Real Life as most of us know it.
But so is Kerry, and Ed Kennedy, and Hilary Clinton, etc., etc., etc.
So go ahead and complain and bitch about how you don’t like how Dubya and Dick are running things, but please - don’t parrot the bullcrap the national media are pushing on us about Bush being an idiot.
If he was, he would have lost his fortune by now and be working at Circuit City (see how I brought that around to On Topic, Ken? Pretty slick, eh? : )
August 11th, 2006 at 4:26 pm
Slick indeed. What I like to here is valid arguments from people. I can’t stand it when someone is asked why they don’t like President Bush, and their answer is “because he’s an idiot.” Anyone can be an idiot. At least try to elaborate.
August 11th, 2006 at 4:26 pm
He wouldn’t work at Circuit City. Let’s be honest. He’s a sporting goods store employee if I’ve ever seen one. Specifically… fishin’ and huntin’ departments.
August 12th, 2006 at 10:35 am
We digress from your topics because after a while we bore of them. Add the fact that you don’t add new posts very often and you leave us to entertain ourselves. Deal with the consequences.
As for the current admin, they are idiots. But would I be saying the same thing if Kerry/Edwards were in office? Hell yeah! Until you put me in office I will criticize anyone who holds the job.
SCG for president 2030. I should start my campaign fundraising now. My first agenda will be topless Tuesdays in the Whitehouse. Maybe we’ll actually get some women voted into political office if we give incentives to you damn men. lol
August 12th, 2006 at 10:38 am
I likes the way you think SCG.
And it’s only been a couple days since my last post. I’ll get angry about something here real soon.
August 14th, 2006 at 9:49 am
Are we seriously going to go a week without a post? Not to mention the fact that you didn’t even write the last one…
August 14th, 2006 at 10:06 am
Are you this much of a slacker in real life as well Ken?
August 14th, 2006 at 10:38 am
Of course he is… why do you think he complains about his job so much?
They have the gall to want him to “work” and be “productive”…
Both against his ethos of slackerdom.
