How to Tie Nautical Knots
posted @ 9:04 pm in [ How To ]

This is how you tie up a boat:

1. Get a boat.

2. Get some rope.

3. Figure out what you want to tie the boat to. Trees, rocks and groups of small children are options.

4. Tie one end of the rope to the boat and tie the other end to whatever tree, rock or child(ren) you have selected.

5. If you did it right, the boat won’t go anywhere.

There you have it!

    “lazy ken”

  3. Angry Ken Says:

This is what happens when stress, high blood pressure and too many hours at work come together. People lose their minds.

  4. Greg Says:

Oh, I just thought that there was something funny behind the veil of completely dumb posting.

  7. SCG Says:

I find it comical when single, childless folks complain about being overworked. Try being a full time parent, wife and corporate worker. That, my friend, is overworked.

  8. Brooks Says:

Being overworked is a choice. You choose your job and you choose your other activities. If you think you are overworked then you need re-prioritize your life and figure out what you need to do and what you don’t need to do. “…full time parent, wife, and a corporate worker” blah, blah, blah. You are already a parent and a wife, so you can’t undo that, but you can do something about being a corporate worker. You can quit. If you quit you will no longer be overworked. If you cannot quit due to financial problems, then you need to re-evaluate your financial situation and stop living outside your means. If you like working as a corporate worker and you feel good about having a career, then you have chosen to be overworked. Stop whining.

  9. SCG Says:

Hmmm, I think I struck a nerve with Brooks. Bitter people are sad.

  10. Greg Says:

He DOES have a point, though.

  11. SCG Says:

He does. Albeit I find it innapropriate for him to tell me I need to re-prioritize my life. He’s a very black or white thinker. No gray with him.

    I venture to guess he’s A) Republican B) single and C) childless.

  12. Luke Says:

Wow, that was offensive to my childless, right-leaning sensibilities.
Not that I agree with Brooks, but still.

And why does it have to be a black/white thing? ;)

  13. SCG Says:

You can tell a lot about a person by whether or not they have children and their political views. I was a different person before children. No offense to you Luke. :)

And don’t go making this a race issue. It seems no one can take a joke around here so be careful! LOL!

  14. Luke Says:

you’re the one who said “He’s a very black or white “thinker” ”

    ;)

  15. Luke Says:

as if people of one race or another think differently…

FYI, everyone knows I’m twisting SCG’s words around, right? No need to get uppity and tarded.

  16. SCG Says:

I see DC is turning you into quite the politician, twisting words.

  17. Brooks Says:

    I am a republican, married, with 4 children…thanks though

  18. SCG Says:

ugh, you’re a repbulican. ’nuff said.
