Just curious Ken. I know, since I am a Mariner’s fan, that Seattle Mariners fans really want Ken Griffey Jr. back. Are the Cincinatti Reds fans as attached to him as Mariners fans?

It’s a mixed bag in Cincy… half the fans feel slighted that he’s been injured so much, thus hasn’t been able to put up big numbers. They spend their days bashing him relentlessly.
The other half (myself included) think he’s awesome, has been a huge addition to the team, and would hate to see him go. I can’t imagine how ridiculously horrible the Reds would be without him, they’re bad enough as it is…
That being said, I can totally see why he’d want to retire as a Mariner…

I’m with the Sarge. I love Griffey, as do a majority of Reds fans. I only wish we could’ve seen him healthy all those years. I can understand why he would want to retire as a Mariner, I just hope he doesn’t go back anytime soon.

I’m still wondering if we might get Griffey back next year or if he might wait a while. I think he wants to come here. I just don’t know when he will come here if he is going to.

Mariners fans love him. When he was up to bat, our fans booed our own pitcher for throwing to first while he was pitching to Griffey.
