Since he decided to disallow any reader comments, the following is my response to Mark Cuban’s latest blog entry which can be found here:

So Mark, I guess since you’re a billionaire that makes you the expert on everything. You know all the answers to running a business, running a sports franchise, running a league, being a success. I’m not denying that you have made quite a successful life for yourself, but money doesn’t buy know-how.
Yes, you did turn one of the worst franchises in the NBA into a winner, albeit I think the players and coaches deserve just a little bit of that credit. But being insanely rich and the owner of a professional team does not give you the right to tell others how to do their job or run their business.
I don’t know how someone with so much money can complain so damn much. If it isn’t the referees, it’s David Stern, or it’s the NBA as a whole. You constantly talk about how much the NBA needs to be improved in the way it is run, yet you offer no insight as how to do it. You then claim that if you offer your view that you will be fined for it. Since when are you worried about being fined by the league? Ever since you became the Mavs owner a few years ago you’ve been fined over $1.6 million or so. You’ve never had any hesitation when it comes to shooting your mouth off before.
Your idea for improving the NBA is give the Dallas Mavericks all the calls they need to go 82-0 through the season all the way to the title. Look Mark, bad calls happen. They happen in every sport to every team. In the end it pretty much balances out. Your team didn’t lose the finals because of any foul call or too early time out call. They lost because they couldn’t get it done when it mattered most and had no answer for one Dwyane Wade, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.
As far as the officiating goes, referees are humans too. And I’m sure they don’t appreciate some spoiled billionaire telling them that they aren’t doing their job right. I’d like to see you referee a game (not including the Mavs of course) since you think it’s so easy.
Lastly, your post just doesn’t make any sense! What point are you trying to make? You’re rich. We get it. Are you giving all us little people a lesson on how to be successful? So we can be immature, childish billionaires that constantly whine and complain like you? Maybe you could take a lesson from the Maloof brothers on how to be an active, passionate NBA owner, but still maintain a sense of class and professionalism.
Oh, and for the record, I will leave comments turned on, because even if they add no value, everyone is allowed to express their opinion on Angry Ken.
