I really, really hate everthing that is MTV. They have to be the lamest thing in entertainment these days. What pisses me off most is the crap that passes for television shows on their sorry network. Laguna Beach? The Hills? I don’t know which is worse; the show itself or the people who actually watch that garbage. “Hey, I wanna watch a bunch of rich snobby high school kids talk on the phone to their friends.” How entertaining! It is fact that just by watching five minutes of one of these shows will indeed make you less intelligent.
Maybe even worse is that f*cking ridiculous show Super Sweet 16. Jesus Christ why is this even on!? Spoiled brats want Daddy to throw them a party or they will demand to be emancipated. “I didn’t want the blue BMW I wanted the red BMW! I hate you!” says the stuck up bitch to her mom and dad.
Just as bad as the kids are the parents. I don’t care how rich you are. If you spend millions of dollars on a stupid party for your vapid slut of a daughter for her birthday, you are a f*cking idiot and you make me sick! You shouldn’t have that money to begin with because you clearly aren’t intelligent enough to justify such a bank account. I want to shoot you in the face.
MTV used to be the place to find good music videos, etc. Now it’s just sucking the intelligence right out of society.

I hate mtv and all it stands for,mtv is a lousy portrayal of how the real world goes, boy and girl groups make me ill, they only play rap music and i am tired of high school and college people on tv, I am a loyal metalhead, I love my motorhead,pantera,soulfly,sepultura,judas priest,death,slayer…the list goes on. I am a non drinker and smoker, I am tired of their crappy shows and stupid hip hop oriented music on tv. They are never there for ny nusical liking and they only show an hour of metal every week, it really alienates the genre of music i listen to.I hate to vent,but I am tired of the real world and laguna beach.I hate reality tv and Jessica Simpson. Instead of ranting about how much you hate these shows (and proceed to give specific details about certain episodes), here’s a novel idea….Turn the channel. They don’t keep crappy shows on the air if no one is watching them. These shows stay on because little kids like you watch them religiously and then try to sell yourself as a hater to prove that you aren’t as brain-dead as the rest of your friends who watch. While I don’t think I’d go so far as “Shooting someone in the face” (judas, take it easy!), I do hate that network. They’ve managed to kill the very reason why they exist: to show music videos. Not sure how old people are on this blog but I remember the birth of that channel. I’m not one to ‘talk about the glory days’ but in this case, I have to. Imagine a channel where there are semi-personable people–just average joes if you will–giving a brief summary about a song and band and then showing the video. I know, crazy, huh?!? Well, it happened and it was actually pretty cool. Musicians having another outlet to showcase their artistic creativity is pretty neat, I think. Now it’s hard to find the damn things and when you do, they usually suck because most bands think it’s not worth making because they think no one is watching because mtv isn’t showing them anymore!
Mtv, go to hell.

I remember when MTV used to play music videos, the entire day until they went off the air.
Genre didn’t matter: if a signed band had a video, it got played.
I rememer a couple of the VJs if I strain my brain.. Martha Quinn. … Joe Jackson…Mark somebody with a head of long frizzy hair… that grainy footage of a space rocket launching…
and me: young, dumb(er), and madly in love with my Les Paul Custom, dreaming of the day when I could afford a Marshall instead of that cheezy little Fender Champ.

SpamNeggasus, I personally know nothing about these shows, but I’m glad these guys have watched enough to let people like me know that mtv is still providing nothing but crap. Jeez, checking a show out a few times doesn’t make you a supporter.
Anyway, as I’ve been hearing more than I want to about the upcoming mtv vma awards (which I will *not* be watching, just like every year), I just wanted to point out that I hate everything mtv stands for, I hate everybody who likes mtv, and I hate everybody who bothers with their meaningless bulls*** awards shows.

That show, super sweet 16, is what is wrong with america. Parents not capeable of disiplining their children because they are afraid the kids might hate them. Your child will respect you much more if you smach them around a little bit. You can do what my dad used to do when I was a little kid. Hold those little bitches under a blanket so they cant escape. I am not a violent person, but I would smash all those girls, and their parents. MTV is run by kids that have grown up in much the same way their programming reflects. They push the lines of decency just for the sake of it rather than do so only when it means something. From where they were when they started to where they are, MTV has devolved into mindless shows that serve to disgust than inspire. All the people who are sickened watching their shows have just got to turn the channel into something more worthy of their time. We can’t help the idiots who continue to watch.

I love New York? Are you F**king kidding me? Between celebrity worship and B.S. “Real World” drama, and Oh oh, let’s not forget, all the dog sh#t pop music-Gwen Steffani, Kenny Chesney, alternative rock posers-fallout boys, Good Charlotte, Hinder, Nickelback, Daughtry, etc… most rap music…american idol, Ryan Seacrest, I could go on, but you know what I’m saying. You can change the channel, change the radio station, whatever, but we’re doomed either way by all the dumb f@#ks who love this crap and will continue to give these junk dealing networks the ratings they want. I only hope that something happens that bring back music and media of past decades. I’m 23 year old from Minnesota and this is what I think.

This is not a personal criticism of MTV but is a factual connection explaining what their MTV2 two headed dog logo represents. Let’s keep in mind that they never fully explained what this image really represents and since it takes up nearly the entire lower right hand quarter of they screen it should have some significance, right? Were the designers of the dog logo on hallucinogens, or were they very calculative and brilliant with their conception of this very odd symbol? It’s obvious that MTV has a large social engineering impact on the youth, because we know that young people are like sponges gathering information to develop their identity. In greek mythology the Orthrus was a 2 headed dog that hearded the monster Geryons red oxen(cattle). Eurystheus, for his tenth labor, gave Heracles the task of bringing back the cattle, which belonged to the monster Geryon. This involved killing the sentinels who watched over the cattle and their master, then, driving the herd over land and sea back to Greece single handed, which made this a very precarious adventure. This monstrous beast was the son of Chrysaor, which makes him nephew of the Gorgon, Medusa. Geryon had three bodies, six arms, six legs and three heads and his appearance was that of a warrior. Let me put it this way - CHANGING THE CHANNEL WON’T DO SHIT!! It’s like trying to tell all the FOX NEWS haters to switch the channel no matter how the network distorts the truth. They will still be force feeding people with their own version of reality. With MTV it’s even easier because kids are easy to manipulate, frustrated. They’ll still be showing utter BULLSHIT with ‘reality’ badge on it, so kids accept it as reality. I mean for fuck’s sake - do you even realize that all these MTV ‘reality’ shows are plain scripted? Most people see there’s ’something’ wrong with them, but many are accepting them as REAL as real life. The worst thing about MTV is that they just radiate hipocricy in your face. You get these spots about saving the Tibet. You get ‘True Life’ series about people’s real problems. You get some short clips about safe sex, etc. But that’s 10% of their air time. The rest is the complete opposite in any shape or form. Less or more direct. I guess they throw in all the ‘good stuff’ so they won’t feel like complete dipshits at the end of the day. What people fail to realize is how to connect simple facts - MTV is all about money, and they found a perfect target - young audience. They put as little effort and money into shows (with exception of few) to make the biggest profit. Reality TV is the easiest to make, and the more morons they put on shows like that the less they have to script it (but of course they do it anyway to keep the audience). They sell it as reality and more and more people buy it, mimick it and end up actually creating it. I can change the channel but their audience won’t since MTV is always saying what’s hip or not. They got them by the balls in any way you can imagine. SO NO, I WON’T JUST CHANGE THE CHANNEL AND IGNORE THE PROBLEM, I WANT TO FUCKING DESTROY THAT NETWORK FOR WHAT THEY ARE - UTTER MANIPULATING MONEYGRABBING SCUMBAGS. Think about it next time you watch ‘Run’s House’, maybe you’ll start wondering how the hell they fitted all these cameras in locations. Cut.
