For a few weeks now I had been looking forward to the release of NASCAR 08 for the Xbox 360, only to have my dreams of unleashing my inner Ricky Bobby broken to pieces.
NASCAR 08 is worse than the Toyota Camry stock car. I’d almost rather go to a Fallout Boy concert than play this game. Almost.
From a visual standpoint the game is gorgeous. It almost looks like an actual NASCAR race on tv. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. This game is hard as hell! Add that you can’t play more than one player other than online is just a plain kick in the teeth. If I can’t send my buddies into the wall at 150 mph then what’s the point?
I thought NASCAR 08 would be totally blown. Instead, this game just plain blows.

Ken you left out a minor detail. Since ‘04 Nascar, the car has been driving more and more like a pogo stick on a track. To compliment ‘08, the graphics are undescribable, they got ride of that stupid Ace on the cell phone, and being able to adjust and tweak a car to the detail was just plain outstanding. But since you cannot drive the car on the track as free as you could in ‘04, it makes the game absolutely worthless! If you haven’t purchased it yet…do not! I’ve been playing Nascar since 2000 and in my opinion, this game was a waste of many people’s time. I’ll be returning mine ASAP.

I think all of you are completely wrong. The game is great, I even bought the steering wheel for it and it is even better. Getting the licenses kinda sucks, but once you get through that the racing is fun. Online racing is okay, sometimes the people make you qualify then run a 30 lap race which can get boring, but that is not the game’s fault.

this guy is 100% correct. by far the worst nascar game iv ever played in my life. i wanted to track down the lead designer for this game and personally end his life.
this game blows, dont by it. i went back to ps2’s nascar 2004 back when it was worth buying.

i have had more fun in my life taking a shit then playing this game. i guess they dont care about nascar fans in the game making world. and now iam going to take my nascar 08 disc and hold it up to my ass and shit threw the hole.

Yes I am a big Nascar Fan I love Dale JR AND DEI and I have ben waiting years for a good nascar game and guest what nascar 08 ps3 sucks balls bad game play AI Drivers drive right in the back of your car hard. To just run right in to you and if they force you below the yello line and you dont pass any one like you are going backwords the game blacks flags you and even thought you did not avance your spot the game black flags you and I dont like how the car pulls to the left bad game it looks ok but the game play sucks and no bump drafting what is up with that if you want a good Nascar game buy Dirt To Daytona that is a game. And EA Sports give it up drop the Nascar license so some one that knows what to do to make a good game

This game absolutley sucks. I was racing the craftsman series at 100% length. I was in 1st place coming to the checkers out of turn 4 and a caution comes out. Than the game tells me race is over and i finish in 6th place? What is that. I was 13 seconds ahead of the 2nd place guy

I have to agree with everyone on this one. The game SUCKS. I never thought I would say this but I have wasted many many hours hours trying to play the game and I cant even make a whole race without hitting something, wall, car whatever. I play on easy and it still sucks, I play on easy and with a wheel and it is better but still sucks, I have gone through ever single adjustment and linery/sensitivy bullshit you can image in hopes to change the game and it still sucks. If EA is reading please make a game we can control, first if we cant control the game using the ananlog sticks than sell the game with a wheel that will control the car. There is no reason that I should not be able to put the game on easy and run 25 laps without making 1,000 changes to the stupid linery/sense/ gauges that dont seem to work anyway. That said once I am on the normal level and hard levels it is fair game, I know I will need to adjust my car but if I cannot drive along side someone without hitting them you can kiss my ass.

I totally agree with everything thats been said. The cars are so hard to control that you know that withen 10 laps you will spin out and hit somthing ending the race. Its impossible to race in this game. Also not being able to play with your friends sucks.
Im totally disapointed. I will not be buying another nascar game ever.

I have been playing nascar on the ps2 for many years, and this game made me feel bad for even griping about those games. This game makes me want to snap the disc in half. The worst part is I actually paid money for this game. It is near impossible to finish a race or let alone get a few laps in before spinning out or getting black flagged. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST GAME EVER. I wish I would have read more about it before I pissed my money away on a shitty game. Whoever made this needs to shoot themselves immediately.
