Here it is, finally. My angry NFL playoff picks.
AFC East: Patriots
AFC North: Bengals
AFC South: Colts
AFC West: Broncos
AFC Wildcard: Steelers, Chargers
NFC East: Giants
NFC North: Bears
NFC South: Panthers
NFC West: Seahawks
NFC Wildcard: Falcons, Cowboys
AFC Champ: Bengals vs. Colts
NFC Champ: Panthers vs. Seahawks
Super Bowl: Panthers vs. Colts
Super Bowl Champ: Colts
These are just my picks, but I think they could be pretty accurate. I feel like this is going to be a “wait and see” year.

You’re kidding me right? Did you watch the game last night? The Steelers defense were super fast. The will be more than a wild card contender. And I’m a Bengals fan.
September 8th, 2006 at 12:48 pm
Nice picks. However, I don’t think the Colts will make it to the superbowl or the AFC championship for that matter. I think last season was as good as they could do and now their secret’s out: blitz like hell, don’t fight the recievers, get to Manning.
Furthermore, Dungy is a freaking pushover. I think he’s a weak, powerless guy along for the ride on a team full of talent much like Joe Torre of the Yankees. Don’t try and feed us some bullcrap, Dungy. You know on fourth down in the AFC divisional last year it was Peyton who waved off the punt team. You had nothing to do with it contrary to what you told ESPN.
Everything else seems fairly accurate except for the fact its obviously through the eyes of a Bengals fan. Then again, if I made picks, guess who’d win.
September 8th, 2006 at 12:55 pm
I was very hesitant to pick the Colts, but if I pick the Bengals, guess what? I’d be accused to favoritism. I think The AFC is pretty wide open when it comes down to the Pats, Steelers, Colts, and Bengals.
September 8th, 2006 at 1:41 pm
I really don’t care who win AFC championship I just don’t want Steelers or Pats to go all the way.
The Colts wont go all the way. they dont have an overall decent team the only thing people like about them is that the have Peyton. I, am a bengals fan but i would be just as satisfied to have someone else go to the Big Game for all I care the Bills could go there.

Wow, I haven’t seen grammar and spelling that bad since nemesis… wait a minute…
I’m seeing a pattern here…
September 8th, 2006 at 2:52 pm
People who have alter-ego’s are lame.
September 8th, 2006 at 2:52 pm
I’ll second that.
September 8th, 2006 at 3:20 pm
I’m on to you.
September 9th, 2006 at 11:30 am
Ha. I like being in on inside jokes.
As for your picks, I won’t agree or disagree. I’ll just say that the Steelers will be in the AFC Championship and the rest is trivial. We’re a team who overcomes adversity and it’s tough to beat that, even with Palmer or Manning.
September 9th, 2006 at 12:27 pm
What is this adversity that Steeler fans keep tlaking about? Is it losing Roethlisberger for a game or two? Batch put up numbers similar to what Ben would have. You could probably plug either one of those guys in there at QB and it wouldn’t change things THAT much.
September 9th, 2006 at 12:36 pm
Let’s see…needing to win out the rest of the season just to be a wild card and play every playoff game on the road? Check.
Losing your QB for the season opener and winning with the backup? Check.
Losing “so-called” instrumental players like Randel-El and Bettis but still having a kick-ass passing and running team? Check.
You get my point?
September 9th, 2006 at 12:36 pm
Oh, I have another…
Fumbling the football at the 1-yard line only to come back and win the game vs. the Dolphine? CHECK.
September 9th, 2006 at 12:43 pm
By your definition, an incomplete pass would be considered adversity. The Steelers don’t have bigger problems than any other team in the NFL.
September 9th, 2006 at 1:01 pm
Maybe they do, maybe they don’t. But even an ass as big as yourself shoud be able to see all that the Steelers have had to overcome in the past year.
September 9th, 2006 at 1:10 pm
You mean playing on the road? Big deal. It helps when you cheat too. BAHAHA.
September 9th, 2006 at 2:19 pm
Okay, I’ve had enough of you for the day. I am getting back to work and not letting myself be distracted by your idiocy.
September 11th, 2006 at 12:46 am
“It’s tough; it’s part of the game,” Palmer said. “Sometimes you get in a position your body can’t take. It looks like he was pretty banged up on that play. All you can do is just pray that he’s going to be alright.”
Geathers said he was pushed into Green by Chiefs wide receiver Eddie Kennison.
“It wasn’t helmet-to-helmet, I got pushed into him,” Geathers said. “You realize he’s got a family and you just pray.”
Ok. Ahem. Ok.
1. Starting quarterback rubbed out.
2. Unnecessary hit.
3. No flag on the play.
4. Sympathetic defender.
5. PALMER: “IT’S PART OF THE GAME.”
PRICELESS.
I’ll bet you shrugged it off after the victory fell in your lap, didn’t you, Ken? Is it possible Green and Palmer were just unlucky? Think about that you bunch of crybabies.
Ps. Did you see Chad Johnson’s hair? I’d be embarrassed to have that guy on our team. Why do you think we got rid of Burress: because he’s a loud-mouth dumbass that’s why. Arrrgh! I hate the Bungholes.
September 11th, 2006 at 12:57 am
1. Chad’s hair rules. I love that guy.
2. I’m not embarrassed to have a pro bowl wide receiver on our team, who can help us win games without even catching a single pass.
3. It wasn’t an unnecessary hit. It wouldn’t have been a hit at ll had A) Green slid earlier B) Geathers hadn’t been blocked into him.
4. That injury did not cost Kansas City the game. Palmer’s injury didn’t just cost us a game, it cost us a chance at a title.
September 11th, 2006 at 8:01 am
Now this is entertainment.
September 11th, 2006 at 8:49 am
Sounds like the same shit we were telling you a year ago. The exact same. It’s weak, Ken. Real weak.
September 11th, 2006 at 10:29 am
Damn it. You beat me to the punch RocknRoll.
I figured Ken would shrug it off and somehow make Palmer’s plight a big deal while Green’s is just a casualty of the game. Typical.
September 11th, 2006 at 1:31 pm
You all can say what you want about Ken and the other Bengals fans, but you have to admit, Carson Palmer had no different reaction to the hit on Green than he had on Kimo’s hit on him.
September 11th, 2006 at 2:38 pm
Unlike Ken, Palmer has class and rationale so yes, he handled himself beautifully throughout his ordeal. It was, after all, an accident. Kimo didn’t tackle him, he was pushed and literally fell over on him, sort of like Geathers predicament.
I don’t think the situation is funny but I do think the Bengals fans reaction to it is. Too bad more of you couldn’t show more class like that of your QB…
September 11th, 2006 at 3:08 pm
I think it’s just because we’ve been starved for a good squad for so long, now that we have one, we are extremely protective of the team and it’s players. Maybe to a fault. This city has not been half as excited about anything since the last time we went to the Super Bowl. Not even winning the World Series. And that’s after only one playoff game…
September 11th, 2006 at 3:40 pm
Well put, Poon. I still can’t wait to destroy the Bungles again.
September 12th, 2006 at 2:33 pm
I don’t see that happening.
September 15th, 2006 at 8:44 am
Just in case Ken decides not to post my submission, click on this link and scroll down to #2 of the worst list and read in amusement. Priceless…

I don’t know where that guy got his info. I’ve been to numerous games at PBS, have sat in every section there is, and never once encountered anything of the sort. Of course there are going to be those few drunk idiots, but I know damn well it isn’t near that bad there. Just another typical Bengal hater.
September 16th, 2006 at 1:02 pm
Ha ha ha ha ha! “Jerk line instituted by the officials” doesn’t lie, Ken! Ha ha ha ha ha ha. That article was great.
September 17th, 2006 at 2:06 am
In fact, I’m rather inspired. This will be my new alias for a while reminding me and everyone there’s an emergency line for idiots in Paul “Cleveland” Brown stadium (home of the Cincinnati Bengals??).
September 17th, 2006 at 9:02 am
Greg is not nemesis. He isn’t far up the evolutionary chain to even be close to me. I just suck at grammar.
