It’s a very long story, extremely long in fact and I wrote this within my accommodation in Mijas. This is a story about intrigue, dilemma and drama. This is a story about the rights, the wrongs, the consequences and the thinking behind it. This is a story about one man and his dog and how being on his own forces his mind to think incredible things and create incredible hallucinations. This is a story about a man who was cheated, a man who wanted revenge but couldn’t get it and a man who was slowly losing his mind in accommodation Mijas whilst trying to be a successful author.
Many people may be familiar with Stephen King’s fantastic literary effort ‘Secret Window’, this fascinating book went on to be created into a film starring Johnny Depp as the lead. This film went on to be credited with rave reviews by both the media and movie critics alike for its deep, moving and emotional acting in relation to a beautiful plot about a man who stole a story. In the film Depp plays an author who has just witnessed his wife cheating on him so he moves out into the middle of nowhere sacrificing their newly built home and returning to his countryside hideaway. Slowly dwelling on the past he begins to lose his mind and starts having strange dreams.
After these dreams a man appears at the door claiming that Depp had actually stolen his story. Depp belligerent as ever disagrees and so the tussle for the story and its rights goes on. Eventually the stranger starts to become threatening and actually kills Depp’s dog in the process. At the end of the film you finally realise that it is Depp himself who has created this dark stranger figure and he is merely just a figment of Depp’s imagination. In fact the man has indeed become unstable with schizophrenic tendencies.
