There are very few times that I have ever considered walking out of a movie before it has ended. Rob Zombie’s version of Halloween made me want to run out of the theater, dig a hole, and bury my head in it until I forgot that I had actually paid money to see such an atrocity of film making. Oh yes, it was that bad.
Rob Zombie at some point thought to himself that the original Halloween just wasn’t how he envisioned it should be, so he decided that he would make his own version of it. Mr. Zombie must’ve thought there should be a remake of Halloween that took all the suspense, excitement, and thrills of the original classic flick and completely toss them out the window. But kids today are dumb enough to go see anything labeled a horror movie, especially one with “Halloween” in the title.
I haven’t seem the original Halloween in quite some time, so it’s not like I’m comparing the two. The 2007 incarnation is just a big, nonsensical killing spree. The same unoriginal murder scene happens over and over again. Teens have sex, Michael comes in, kills the boyfriend, then chases the topless girl around until she’s dead. This literally happens three or four times.
And the big explanation for why Michael Myers was a demented killer? Oh, he was just born that way. How creative. My new mission is to get the $20 I spent on this movie back from Rob Zombie himself. So if anyone happens to know where he lives or how to get a hold of him that would help.
Long story short, this movie absolutely sucks, so don’t see it. Go watch the original for a good, classic scare.

Rob Zombie should not be allowed to make movies

What would that make you for paying to see it? Just food for thought.

By the way, football season is upon us and there has been ZERO mention of the good ole’ pigskin on your blog. WTF?

Yes, I am aware that my statement sounds hypocritical, but the teens will come in droves no matter what. I happened to see this movie without reading any reviews and really knowing nothing about it. I figured it would either be really good or just plain terrible. It was the latter.
As for football, just you wait…

You paid $20? TWENTY BUCKS??
No wonder you hold high standards
I can see a flik at the in-town theater for $4. If I wan’t to go see a movie in a nicer theater, I can drive a half-hour north and pay $7.
Maybe life’s not so bad in “The Heartland” after all

I assume the other ticket was for your ego because I know your ass didn’t bring a date.
Unless it was Ryan. Which doesn’t count because he’s a dude.

Wow!! Someone really does not like Rob..It’s Ok I love his filmmaking…He did an AWESOME job with both House Of 1000 Corpses, and The Devils Rejects… I can’t wait for Halloween…The Original SU CKS! I was 5 yrs old when it came out in 1978..it SUCKED when it first came out and it still SUCKS now I say it SUCKS because it never frightened me once…From what I understand of Robs version…is to bring to us horror finatics the real reason behind Michael’s insanity why this child turned into a raging murderer, the real story behind Michael… a prequel if you will. I bet it’s going to be the best horror film of 2007!! and after I get to see it…I know I will NOT be disappointed!

So… you’re 34, have no sense of grammar what-so-ever, speak of “Rob” like he’s your buddy and “can’t wait” for the new Halloween even though it came out almost two months ago. Way to go winner. Keep on waiting in your parents’ basement, the dvd should be out any day now.
