Rolling Toasters
posted @ 6:35 pm in [ Cars ]

Why do people buy those Scion xB’s? That has to be one of the ugliest cars ever made. It looks like a damn toaster. Everytime I see one on the highway I fully expect to see 2 giant pieces of bread pop out of the roof.

And not only are these cars ugly, they have no power. I think the stock engine on an xB puts out about 120 hp. That’s not a whole lot considering that Toyota pushed this as a performance car, unless they are marketing solely for visual customization.

So I guess they want idiot teenagers to buy these cars for about $14k, then spend another 5 to 10 grand on lame ass parts to make it look “cool”. What’s the point of having a tricked out car when it can be outrun by a school bus? You can add all the air intakes you want, but that car ain’t doing much under 20 seconds in the quarter mile. Plus, who wants to drive a box?!

If you’re gonna buy a Scion, at least buy the TC. They are kinda cool. Definitley better than the box and that other ugly one Scion makes.

I could never justify buying one of those Xbox-looking monstrosities.

This coming from the jackass rolling in a Contour.

  2. Angry Ken Says:

Hey, I didn’t pay upwards of 14 g’s for it. And whatever, my car is fine…until I can buy a tank.

  3. nemesis Says:

You will never own a tank, and your car sucks. You are an suv driving earth raper.

    God I suck.

  4. Ken Says:

Wow, I didn’t know a contour was an SUV.

  5. Sgt Poon Says:

    Seriously nemesis, are you:
    a) 7 years old
    b) 8 years old
    or
    c) just plain retarded

  6. C4 Says:

Not only do you roll in a Contour, but you roll in a Contour WITH A FREAKING TV!

  7. Steel City Gal Says:

Nemesis: Don’t be an asshole just because you’re not old enough to get your driver’s license. How many mpg does your moped get?

  8. Ken Says:

You don’t need gas for a big wheel.

  9. steel city gal Says:

So Ken, do the ladies dig your Contour? I am sure it has a negative impact on your already fragile dating life.

  10. Ken Says:

LOL! It’s actually not that bad. At least until I get something better. I assure you that there’s no other 4-cylinder contour like it. If you’re lucky I might post some pictures of it.

  11. steel city gal Says:

Yeah, let me tell you…nothing gets a woman hot faster than a 4-cylinder family sedan!

I’m feeling lucky today, so show me some pics of your “pimped” out Contour! LMAO!

  12. Ken Says:

4 door sedans are the big thing right now. The Ford Fusion, Chrysler 300, Audi A4, Mazdaspeed 6, etc., all four door “family” sedans. And I wouldn’t want that shallow of a woman anyway.

  13. steel city gal Says:

Ok, there is a huge difference from a contour and the other cars you metioned above.

And just because a woman prefers a man who has a nice ride doesn’t make her shallow. For me personally, I work my ass off to make a good living and afford some luxurious things, so I wouldn’t want a man riding in some POS. It’s not shallow, it’s just setting the standard a little higher.

  14. steel city gal Says:

You’re slacking Ken. No witty comeback and you didn’t post any pics. I am so disappointed…

  15. Ken Says:

You think I don’t want those cars? I realize that my ride is not expensive or fancy, but I make the most of what I have right now.
Of course a nice car is a bonus, but a woman should see past that to the personality first. Some of the best people drive pieces of junk.

  16. steel city gal Says:

I agree that personality is much more important than a car. I actually hate spending a lot of money on cars but the point I was trying to make is that you want to date someone who has goals and is driven. Lets face it, charm and personality doesn’t pay the bills. If it did, I’d be rich and driving around in a nicer car than my Honda Pilot.

  17. Ken Says:

Honda is the bane of my existence. There are to many ugly “pimped out” civics on the road.

  18. Steel City Gal Says:

I can guarantee that my Honda is not “pimped out”. It’s a freakin SUV for crying out loud.

Those idiots driving around with ground effects and flames on their sorry 4-banger engines crack me up though.

  19. annie Says:

i drive the toaster and i love my car… i didnt not personalize it bc i dont like that riced out look… but i love it nonetheless
