Friday was supposed to be a great day. I was finally going to get the cable hooked up in my new place. GOing over 2 weeks with just the 5 basic channels is torture.
Everyone always talks about how much they hate Time Warner Cable. Now I know why. THese jerks finally get out to install my life force, only to tell me that they can’t get a signal. Not only that, but they tell me that every other apartment in the building has cable hookups, but mine don’t work. So now I have to probably wait another two weeks for them to come out and fuck some more shit up. These people absolutely suck, and so does not having cable.

Ken, you should probably be more pissed at your property manager/landlord, and less pissed at Time Warner Cable. I will bet you a cold beer that the reason your apartment does not have a signal is because the previous tenant ordered a Dish service, and they cut the cable line. Once a cable company installs lines, they become the property of the building owners; it also becomes their responsiblity to protect those lines. If you had a bad light switch in your apartment, would you blame the electric company?

Why do you want cable anyway? It costs too damn much. I found that for a one time charge of $99 at Radio Shack, you can buy an HD antenna that will pick up a lot of stations….IN HD…. thats a deal.
