All about Auckland

Auckland, New Zealand’s biggest city, with its beautiful scenery, beaches, islands, varied restaurants, and exciting nightlife, is an immensely popular tourist spot. The range of things to do in Auckland is wide and can appeal to everyone. There are parks for camping, bridges for climbing or bungee jumping, waters for sea animal adventures and sailing and cruises, only to name a few. Just as varied as the possible activities are the choices for Auckland hotels.

You will find backpackers and youth hostels for lower prices, bed and breakfasts, boutique style Auckland hotels, farmstays, homestays (being a guest in an Auckland home), time share homes and apartments, as well as typical hotels and lodges we are accustomed to here in the states. For the backpackers and youth hostels option, we will focus on three choices, even though there are many more in Auckland. First there is Frienz.com Backpackers Accommodation Auckland. It is located in the heart of the city, across from Albert Park and close to all modes of public transportation. Room prices range from $21 to $67 New Zealand dollars.

Surf ‘N Snow Backpackers is the newest, and boasts it is the cleanest, backpacker’s hotel. It is located across from Sky Tower and has a central location to all spots backpackers will love and also provided Wellington Hotels and Choices for Christchurch Hotels

Its rooms range from 23 to 120 NZ dollars. Our third option in this category is the Red Monkey’s Travellers’ Lodge. This is a quieter place to stay in the village of Ponsonby. Lodging costs 28-54 NZ dollars.
