Hunte’s Garden

So now you have finally decided that you will take a trip to the lovely scenic spots o Barbados holidays.  The place is known for its lovely beach and relaxing atmosphere.  Some even finds the place where they meet their haven or amidst their busy and complicated life. You might as well maximize your trip to this Caribbean island.  Most attractions and famous sightseeing places are usually found on guidebooks and online search.  There is one though that has for some reason is not inked at any other guidebooks but is sure worth a trip.  In St. John’s parish, there is what they call a Hunte’s Garden.  If you want to witness one of the most marvelous gardens in the world then you better rent a car and visit the place.  The place was created by a legendary horticulturist, Anthony Hunte, who belongs to the earliest settlers in the place – the Bajan family.  He had an imaginative mind and passion for nature which leads to the transformation of a sinkhole to the most awe-inspiring garden that your eyes will ever laid on.   Hunte’s garden is a picturesque creation with a series of mini-gardens.  The surroundings offer a unique range of pulsating colors that provides guests a unique experience.Admission to this stunning garden will only cost you $20 and you can spend as much time feasting your eyes with the amazing magical masterpiece.  To entice you more to look around this small yet spectacular garden, Mr. Hunte will amuse you with his stories and anecdotes coupled by a classical music in the background.  The great raconteur is the heart and soul of this vivacious garden.  You will usually find him selling plants at his nursery and if he is at his free time then he sees to it that everyone is entertained with a glass of rum punch to refresh you. Visiting this place is more like walking in a fairyland.  So the next time you go Barbados holidays and you seem to look around for that Disney feeling without the rides and theme park, go to Hunte’s garden!
