Montezuma Costa Rica – More Than Just a Honeymoon Place

I have been back to Montezuma a few times since the first time I stepped foor in this town for my Costa Rica honeymoon 5 years ago. A lot of friends back in the States think that I’m crazy to keep to visit this sleepy little town on the Nicoya Peninsula, after all Costa Rica boasts of other great tourist destinations such as Jaco, Tamarindo, Manuel Antonio etc.

However unknown to my friends, Montezuma Costa Rica has been developing slowly but surely into one of the upcoming hottest place to be for foreigners and locals alike. First of all the nightlife in Montezuma especially on the weekend is getting rave reviews among the social elites and party goers in Costa Rica as well as the surrounding countries. This has also attracted many celebrities to this town so much as that on the weekends, you could possibly get a glimpse of who’s who walking down the main street of the town. Apart from the parties, the European styled restaurants are also getting a lot of attentions from the tourists due to its unique menus and dining experience. Of course there is the stunning Montezuma beach to top it all up.

However, it is more than just a great place to visit on your Costa Rica honeymoon, the economic potential that this town possess is making it a viable place for investment especially real estate ones. The current development of Montezuma Costa Rica is still relatively slow compare to the other tourists towns in the country. So this means the real estate prices is also considerably low and attractive to investors as they can buy in at a relatively low price and make a handsome profit when the prices of real estates goes up significantly in the near future. Right now you could easily get a 10 acres estate for less than half a million USD and within the next 5 years, it has the potential to go up between 200-300%. I am already in the middle of negotiating with the owner of an estate that is about 30 acres and it even comes with a little stream and water fall. If this deal goes through, I will make it into a private holiday estate for my family and friends while I wait for the value to go up in the next 5 years.
