Tourists Increase in New York

The mayor of New York City has suggested that the island of Manhattan is set to experience a record number of tourists by the end of 2011 and that the levels of tourism for the area will likely continue to stay high throughout 2012 and beyond. Mayor Michael Bloomberg had set the benchmark of fifty million tourists a few years ago and is pleased that the city has been able to obtain that figure. The mayor said that the increase in tourists meant that the hospitality industry in Manhattan was experiencing some wonderful levels of customer action and that the economy was repairing well because of it.

Some of the methods of which people visited the area included visiting by air and from foreign countries and visiting through a New York yacht rental for visitors from the close vicinity who wanted to travel to Manhattan but didn’t want to deal with driving into the area. One of the interesting things about the increase in tourism is that it represents an overall enhancement of the economies of most of the countries and states from which visitors have come. For example, a number of tourists from China have started to arrive on American shores because of the booming economy in that country.

The current administration for the city of New York has been quite busy in its attempts to enhance the tourism options for people visiting the area and has wanted to promote a diversification of the city’s economy that would extend beyond basic Wall Street jobs and into a number of additional entry level jobs for unskilled workers.
