Travelling in Argentina

Mendoze, Bariloche, El Calafate

As you make your way through Argentina, many towns offer some amazing views and many of the most unique experiences you will ever be lucky enough to enjoy.  A great example is Mendoza , the center of the Argentine wine industry.  Mendoza is found in the western part of the nation, not far from the border of Chile.  Though in a desert region, an inventive and well designed irrigation system keeps the city lush and green.  Make sure to spend some time in the Mendoza Museum of Modern Art with one of the best collections of beautiful art that you’ll find anywhere.

Make sure to head south to see El Calafate, the gateway to the Los Glaciares National Park.  It’s cool in Calafate so be sure to pack some warm clothes, especially in the winter months of June, July, and August.  If you like to be active, you will love Calafate with plenty of rigorous hiking available.  Schedule some family fun and go horseback riding or head out on one of the guided 4 wheel drive excursions.  Also, bring your appetite as several amazing restaurants grace this city where you will have the option to try some of the delicious local food choices like the world renowned Argentinean beef.

For those who like to spend time in the outdoors, especially enjoying winter sports, Bariloche is the place to be.  Known for being a winter wonderland, Bariloche offers lots of skiing on their picturesque mountain tops.  This chocolate capital of the world is host to some of the best chocolate treats you will ever taste, so you be sure to schedule some time out on the slopes to work off some of those calories!  With tons of shopping and friendly locals, Bariloche has earned a place in the hearts of all who visit there.
