Purchasing online travel insurance in Australia
It takes a lot of time to plan your trip and I like to do things the easy way, whenever I can. I do a number of trips each year and some are overseas so I always make sure I have travel insurance cover before I go. I sometimes make my trips on my own, but on many occasions I travel with friends and business associates, who I find are generally more knowledgeable on the more unusual places we sometimes go to. One of my friends is an absolute travel fanatic, taking every possible opportunity to make trips abroad. He has travelled to many places in the world and had a number of unfortunate experiences along the way.
In India last year he managed to get separated from his entire luggage for a couple of days. It did turn up, thankfully, as he had some expensive photographic equipment in one of the cases. He does commercial photography and is very particular about his quality, so the camera equipment he buys is top of the range. It would not just be the value he would loose if it was lost or stolen, he would have a difficult time replacing some of the gadgets he has collected from time to time. He did get immediate help from his travel insurance company, which was very comforting to know and if he had not recovered the equipment and his luggage they gave him the information on how to make a claim.
I learn from other’s experiences and try to not end up in difficult situations which just could have been avoided with some care, thought and planning.
